That was super helpful. I loved the suggestions about going between smiles, having her lean sideways for the full laugh, and the pauses for the poses. Awesome stuff.

Love the very well designed wordpress theme as well!

Hi Yuri,
I really admire your work and have been following your work since 2006. I am amazed how you shoot stock and the way you organized the workflow and the business concept. I watched all your videos and read all I could find that you wrote. However my biggest problem is finding models and models fee. In my country (Croatia) models are pricey; like 100/200$ per day, day=6-8 hours shoot. We know that is not all, we have to pay MUA, stylist + space to shoot. What would you advise, if you were me, what should I do to get around tricky and expensive models and modeling agency? To make clear I consider expensive only that when I pay and woman or man doesn't know how to work lifestyle. I would pay any money if I could get skilled lifestyle models. Or it is me? Thanx man..

I love when you get a model that actually has a clue, and can free pose as you guide them minimally. I've had some models that literally caused me to want to bang my head on the ground. Wanna be's and amateurs are the ones I'm talking about, the ones with little skills. Still, you can get good images from amateurs that don't know what you're doing. It just helps you stay more sane when you're working with a moderately to highly talented model.

Are you using 7 lights for this setup? Can you get a good clean white background with fewer lights? Would you do a post about white backgrounds, please?
Thanks for giving back Yuri, I really love your blog!!

Hi Yuri,

Excellent segments, I have to say that this account of a true pro works wonders in building up confidence and technique for all shooters.

Your studio hi-key setup explained could be a great segment for future release!

Congrats on the huge success!
