I am beginning my micro-stock hobby currently, and your advice will help me a lot, I'm sure. I am finding the limitations of a cheap Canon 50D body fairly quickly. I think that there's a lot of talk about gear and many people who say that it's not as important as the photographer. I'd have to say to that "It's just as important". I struggle with the 50D often trying to shoot high-res stuff, that needs to be reduced for lack of sharpness (50mm prime is >2000 LW/PH - so must be body?). Your shots since purchasing the Hasselblad have obviously improved dramatically, and it probably wasn't your skill level increasing instantly the day you bought the new camera :) I see many of your shots and think "I couldn't possibly shoot anything as sharp, vibrant and exciting as what you're shooting with your equipment."
