I started my time with Yuri Arcurs in the early summer of 2007 applying for a model job. I’ve always had a huge interest in photography and casually asked for an assistant job at Yuri’s facility. This was initially turned down.

I was lucky to know a little about Photoshop, and applied for a freelance Photoshopper job instead -also at Yuri Arcurs. This job I got and when a new position opened as assistant I immediately took the chance and applied. After an intense job interview (Yuri is very critical when hiring core staff) I got the job.

Yuri Arcurs is looking for a second shooter/back-up shooter for a full-time or freelance job at our studio.

You have to be highly skilled regarding technical aspects of digital photography and preferably have experience in the field of stock photography.

You should preferably be from Europe or be willing to live in Denmark or other places in the world for periods of up to a month at a time.

We do not accept applications from competitive microstock photographers that want to learn from us and pursue their own career afterwards.

I am looking for a runner/first assistant. If you are young, ambitious about photography and want to be part of our team, we welcome your application. Most of my assistants learn so much that they can do full scale shoots completely on their own within a year of training and are extremely happy about their training. You will work with big budgets, wonderful models, the best camera and computer equipment that money can buy and travel all over the world as part of your work, but… we are very particular about who we accept.

Special groups of people we really want

Some people are harder to get a hold of than others. We need groups of people from all walks of life and we are willing to give you a great experience, great pictures and sponsor your team or group financially.

We are especially interested in:

• Kindergarten children. A whole class or most of a whole class.
• A soccer team - both female and male.
• Older people, seniors and older couples.
• Groups of friends of up to six people that all want to be part of a shoot.
